Garden Fencing Revamp

A before image of a resin project

🛠️ Before: Uneven, Unfinished Side Pathway

This side access in Yaxley had an outdated, uneven surface that collected debris and weeds. With no proper edging or drainage, the area became impractical for regular use and difficult to maintain. The lack of a defined, durable surface also affected the visual appeal of the property.

Key issues:

  • Cracked and uneven ground surface
  • Dirt and loose gravel creating trip hazards
  • No edging or border structure
  • Frequent weed growth and poor drainage
  • Visually untidy and hard to clean

🧱 Our Vision

For this project in Yaxley, our client wanted a smooth, modern surface to replace a rough, patchy side area. The goal was to install a practical, low-maintenance pathway that would remain clean and slip-resistant throughout the year.

We proposed a full resin-bound installation using the Evening Rose aggregate blend. After clearing and preparing the sub-base, the resin surface was laid to offer lasting durability with a polished, decorative finish that complements the home’s brickwork.

  • Full ground clearance and site preparation
  • Sub-base installation for long-term stability and drainage
  • Application of UV-stable Evening Rose resin-bound surfacing
  • Seamless integration with existing brickwork and garden features

🧱 Resin Surface Transformation

What was once a patchy, weather-worn side passage is now a clean, durable resin-bound surface that completely transforms the outdoor space. The old ground was uneven, difficult to maintain, and lacked visual appeal. This new installation didn’t just upgrade the aesthetics—it added year-round functionality and value to the property. The finished resin path blends in beautifully with the brickwork, offering a smart, practical solution for everyday use.

🌿 Evening Rose Resin-Bound Aggregate (UV-Stable, Permeable)

Why This Resin Mil Mix Was Chosen for This Project

  • Rich, Natural Colour Blend: The Evening Rose mix features warm reds, soft creams, and natural browns—creating an earthy, welcoming finish that complements brickwork, timber fencing, and surrounding landscaping.

  • UV-Stable & Fade Resistant: Specially formulated using UV-stable resin, this blend retains its colour vibrancy over time, even in direct sunlight—ideal for open pathways and exposed side access areas.

  • Permeable & SUDS-Compliant: The porous surface promotes natural water drainage, helping prevent puddles and surface runoff. It meets Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) regulations—making it an eco-conscious choice.

  • Smooth Yet Slip-Resistant: The compact, seamless finish delivers a clean, contemporary look that’s easy to walk on and maintain—perfect for high-traffic residential access points.
