Resin Driveway with Custom Compass Design
🔧 Before: A Dull, Underutilised Frontage
This property originally featured a basic blacktop surface with limited visual appeal. The homeowner wanted to modernise the look of their driveway while adding a unique focal feature that would reflect their personal style.
Key issues:
- Aged tarmac surface with patchwork wear
- Dark, closed-in appearance
- No definition between driveway and parking space
- Lacking standout features or kerb appeal
🛠 Our Solution
- Full excavation and surface preparation
- Installation of a proper permeable base system to ensure drainage compliance
- Placement of a bespoke metal template for the compass rose (see install photo!)
- Hand-laid UV-stable resin-bound stone, using a Honeycomb mix for a natural, golden tone
- Jet-black stone inlay used to fill the compass design for high contrast
- Perimeter edging and cleanup for a neat, framed finish
