Prior to the transformation, this narrow side path was both impractical and unattractive. The surface was made up of uneven paving slabs and loose slate chippings, which had become unstable and difficult to walk on. Without clear boundaries or proper edging, the area lacked definition and felt disconnected from the rest of the property.

The goal for this project was to transform an uneven and underused side access path into a clean, low-maintenance walkway using a high-quality resin-bound surface. With unstable slate chippings, worn paving slabs, and no defined borders, the area was both impractical and visually disconnected from the rest of the property.

This completed side path makeover delivers a clean, low-maintenance surface that blends function and form. A UV-stable resin-bound finish was installed over a fully prepared base, framed with charcoal edging blocks for clear definition and containment.
The result is a safe, slip-resistant walkway that improves daily use and ties in beautifully with the property's existing brickwork—giving a once-overlooked area a purposeful, polished new life.
