Before the transformation, the property in Saffron Walden featured an old block-paved driveway and dated backyard with uneven, weathered surfaces. These areas were difficult to maintain, with weeds and cracks reducing both usability and kerb appeal.

Our aim for this Saffron Walden project was to transform an outdated driveway and backyard into a sleek, low-maintenance resin-bound surface. The old paving was cracked, uneven, and difficult to maintain, reducing both usability and kerb appeal. By removing the damaged materials, installing a solid base, and finishing with clean block edging, we delivered a modern resin finish that blends style, durability, and long-term practicality.
Planned works included:
- Removing old block paving and preparing a stable sub-base
- Installing a solid, level foundation for long-lasting results
- Adding crisp block edging for a smart, defined layout
- Applying premium resin-bound stone for a smooth, contemporary finish
The Results
Full Property Resin-Bound Upgrade – Saffron Walden Project
This project transformed the side passage and outdoor areas of the property in Saffron Walden, replacing old, worn paving with a sleek resin-bound surface. The original pathway was cracked, uneven, and overgrown, making it both impractical and unattractive. By removing all old materials and installing a strong sub-base, we created a clean, durable finish that instantly modernised the space.
A combination of clean charcoal edging and a high-quality resin-bound surface now runs throughout the property — from the side passage to the rear garden pathways and patio.
